Happy International Day of Friendship!

Just a quick blog post to say Happy International Day of Friendship!

For some of us we would have connected with many other bloggers in the blogging world who we now call friends. Like the quote below.

We don't cross [paths by accident.png

Why not post a positive message on their blog today and wish them Happy Intentional Day of friendship to put a smile on their face, like a post on someone’s blog who may not have many followers or comments or follow a new blog.

Friends may be family members, special friends who we’ve known for many years and we are now very close to or friends we’ve met more recently. So today  please remember to be thankful for all of the friends you have in your life, especially the ones who are always there for you and remember to think about you, make sure to wish them a Happy International Day of Friendship and thank them for being your friend and for their company, reflect on why you are friends and all of the fun and happy memories as well as difficult times you’ve shared with them and if you do have the opportunity to see them, give them a huge hug. Take the time to call a friend you haven’t spoken to in ages or if they’re overseas even write them a letter or send them a card to let them know you’re thinking of them, befriend someone who seems lonely and  please remember to be kind. Xx

I’m going to end with a couple of quotes on friends and friendship.

Friends are like stars1dc77583e9e7097052396acadc4920fb.jpg

Isn’t this just adorable?

Hotel Transylvania 3: Monster Vacation

Are you ready for a monster vacation?

Two weeks ago I went and saw Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. It’s been a while since I’ve written about children’s movies so I thought I’d get back to what my blog was originally about and write up a review on the latest Hotel Transylvania movie.

When Drac’s daughter Mavis finds that her dad is spending too much time at work (They own hotel Transylvania) she decides that they are in need of a vacation and so she organises a vacation for them both and all of the other monsters at their hotel on a luxury cruise. But when Drac begins to feel zing for the ship’s captain Erica, things don’t seem to go to plan.

Can monsters really feel zing more than once? If you haven’t seen any of the previous Hotel Transylvania movies a zing is what monsters feel when they’re in love.

But don’t worry if you haven’t seen any of the previous Hotel Transylvania movies, before going to see this movie I’d never seen any of the other movies in the series either so I  can’t tell you whether it’s as good as the first two movies but  it still made sense to me once I got to know who the characters were.

So if you’re in need of a good laugh and a bit of the Macarena (I won’t give away the funny parts or they won’t be funny anymore), then this is the film for you.

Hapipness not a destibnation

When you think of happiness what is the first thing that comes to your head? Smiles, bright colours, being surrounded by family and friends, having everything you want.        Following a guest post I read on Invisible Me written by Rachel from the Invisible Hypothyroidism, which she also shared on her blog and the quote “Happiness isn’t a destination” also seen on a candle in a photo posted on Looking for the Light I thought I just had to follow on with this topic. Happiness seems to be a topic which has been written about several times over the years.

As Aristotle once also wrote “Happiness is a state of activity.”  Happiness is a a goal which gives us purpose in life.  Yet happiness is something which as human beings we ALL constantly strive for.Happiness seems to be a normal, human desire. But what exactly is happiness?

Happiness cannot be a destination and we cannot be happy all the time as much as we all want to because if we were happy all the time we would never be able to experience other emotionssuch as joy, which comes from within, love, anger, frustration, fear, sadness, all which are equally as important as each other,

‘Happiness’ is just one emotion we may, or may not feel, on that particular day. So  just because we may not be feeling at this current point in time, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing because seriously who feels happy, joyful and amazing every single minute, every single day of the year? You might be feeling interested, surprised, optimistic or even bored.

Instead of  wasting time searching for happiness which is different for everyone, today why not live in the moment and let happiness come to you. After all, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest times if one only remembers to turn on the light.” You might be familiar with this quote if you’re a Harry Potter fan.

So I’d love to hear from all of you, what makes you happy and what does happiness mean to you?

Happy Monday!

Oh dreaded Mondays. Just like the song “Just another manic Monday, wish it was Sunday. For most of us Mondays mean going back to work or school for a new week where we can’t predict what is going to happen and we wish the weekend could be longer.

But I like to think of Mondays as a brand new week and a fresh start. If you’ve had a bad week last week think of Monday as an opportunity for a new week where things may be better. Today I would like to share a quote  I found which I like by Bob Marley.  Remember you are stronger than you think you are

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have

Happy Monday!
