School Holiday Fun

If you’re looking for some fun these school holidays, here is a list of activities to keep entertained.

River Rink at Federation Square – 1 July – 23 July Monday – Wednesday, Sundays- 10am – 9pm Thursday – Saturday- 10am – 10pm

What better way to celebrate winter than having a go at ice skating. With river rink just behind Fed Square, you can hire a pair of skates and glide across the ice for 45 minute sessions. 70cm high skating aids are also available for hire if this is your first time ice skating. There’s also a playroom each day with children’s activities including Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO workshops ($10) and face painting and loads of food stalls to purchase food from along the way. Melbourne Ice Slide- Eureka Skydeck- Saturday 1st July- Sunday 16th July 2017

Disney Frozen on Ice

From Wednesday 5th July until Sunday 23rd July, experience the magic of Disney’s Frozen on Ice as Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf come to life on the ice rink at Hisense Arena. Frozen on Ice features all your favourite songs from Frozen and special appearances from other Disney princesses, Toy Story characters, Finding Nemo and The Lion King.  Ticket prices vary from $32-$88 per person, depending on the seats selected. Legoland Discovery Centre

For a limited time only, these school holidays experience LEGO Batman at the Legoland Discovery Centre from 1st-16th July. You can meet Lego Batman and have a selfie with him or participate in a Batman scavenger hunt and Lego Batman building activities. Wallace and Gromit and Friends Exhibition – 29th June-29th October 2017

Remember the animated clay characters Wallace and Gromit? In this exhibition explore the famous claymation characters from not just Wallace and Gromit, but also Chicken Run and Shaun the Sheep. See how they come to life on the big screen from a small sketch to storyboards with activities and displays.
